Insert Graphic with Text Flow?

Can I insert an external (e.g. gif or jpeg) and get it to flow with
the text ?

When I insert one, it doesn't place within the text... it jumps to a
neutral location and doesn't have any "flow" features available in the
settings area.

I'm afraid the answer is "No" again.

You can't get text fowing around graphics in PowerPoint except by faking it
with multiple text boxes.

"Text flow" is a typical feature for programs that use a lot of text. As you
should not insert large amounts of text on a slide, PowerPoint neither needs
nor has that feature. You have to adjust your text manually to the image.
