I am running Windows XP Pro SP2 with latest updates.
I have my Homepage set as about:blank for an empty page.
When I open IE7, it loads a blank webpage: about:blank.
Upon navigating to a webpage, ie, www.microsoft.com, and after it finishes
loading the page, IE7 navigates to the homepage about:blank before closing.
This happens regardless of navigating to any websites. When I open IE7 and
it's at about:blank, during closing IE, the blank website tries to navigate
to about:blank as it shows in the bottom Status Bar (Waiting for
about:blank) then it closes.
Is this normal?
I have posted this earlier and yet no help. I was wondering if anyone forgot
about this problem.
When I originally installed IE7, everything was fine. after a few weeks of
use, IE7 navigates to about:blank then closes. I can even hear the
navigation clicks.
Please help me out. What can be done, as it takes a while for IE to close
when I have multiple tabs open, since they all have to navigate to
about:blank before closing.
PS. This happens with or without multiple tabs.
Thanks
Gino
