IE6.0 takes forever to load

As of about 3 weeks ago, my IE6.0 running on an XP box has
been taking forever to load. Once loaded, it takes forever
to load a web page and to get the screen to change. All
other Win Apps run just fine - except for those that use
the Explorer screens (i.e. - My Computer, Windows Explorer,
etc.). I'm virus and ad free, have not loaded any new
software, and both Outlook and Netscape run just fine.
Ideas? - JBK

try emptying your temporary internet folders in
ie,tools,options, and also delete offline files.
couldn't hurt.
or do a search for "ie taking to long to load web page" on
microsoft.com
