I bet no one can fix this, cause I can't

MSN Messenger hangs when I click Audio.

1. Audio works fine with Netmeeting.
2. I have disabled the Sygate Firewall.
3. There was a clash between Windows Messenger and MSN Messenger, but I
disabled Windows Messenger.

This is the error details:

AppName: msnmsgr.exe
AppVer: 6.1.0.207
ModName: ole32.dll
ModVer: 5.1.2600.1263
Offset: 0001213e

Thank you very much
Hennie

As far as the clash between Windows Messenger and MSN
Messenger, I have found that Norton AntiVirus 2003
Professional often causes the battle of the Messengers
even when Windows Messenger is unchecked (quasi-removed)
in Add/Remove Windows Components (retaining the Remote
functions). To fix this, disable Messenger scanning in
the Norton AntiVirus options.

Depending on the type of audio device you have, if you
have multiple audio capture sources such as Line-in
running AND you have an Audigy card using the Creative
volume control, you need to reset the settings to Default
(in Creative's volume control) before attempting an audio
connection in MSN Messenger.

Perhaps none of these things apply to you, but I thought
I would give your challenge a try.

Hi Bruce,
I don't have Norton Antivirus, but did have Norton Utillities before I
removed it. - It didn't work.

I also tried disabling F-secure antivirus and chose defaults for the NVidia
sound system. Still the same.

Thanks for trying.
