HTTP 404 file not found

Holly

I did all the updates from Microsoft, ran the ad aware,
sybot and I have Norton anti virus and firewall running.
My problem is this: When at the Yahoo and MSN home pages
and type in a subjet to do a search it brings up the HTTP
404 error but if I go to Comcast.net and do a search from
that home page it will direct me to a list of sites. Why
are Yahoo and MSN not directing me to a list of sites?
Please help.

Holly,
Most likely the "URL SearchHook" is broken ......

Download: RepairDefaultPrefix.reg
http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm
[or]
Go to: http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm
Download "Hijack This!" [freeware]

Unzip, double-click "HijackThis.exe" and Press "Scan".

When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log"
button.
Click: "Save Log" (generates: "hijackthis.log")

Next, go to the below location:
http://www.spywareinfo.com/forums/

Sign in, go to the "Spyware and Hijackware Removal" section.
Press "New Topic", copy and paste hijackthis.log into your new message.

Post back with the URL where you posted if you want help with your log.

To protect against an other attack, be sure to install hotfix 828750 which
fixes the exploit that this virus uses.

Thank you, it worked.
I have Norton running and for some reason it didn't
detect that QHost. Thanks a million.
