My Outlook says "you've got mail" whenever a new email comes in. How do I
turn that off and replace it with a ding sound?

Hi Ira,
In the Control Panel click "Sound and Audio Devices"
Sound tap
In the Program events window under Windows
Click "New mail notification"
Click "Browse" and select the sound.
Click OK and close.

If this is a Toshiba computer, you will need to disable it using the Toshiba
Tools - sorry, I don't have a Toshiba handy here but look around in Control
Panel->Toshiba Tools or Utilities, something like that.
