Help to get rid of ads.x10.com pop-under

I am aware that this is may not be the correct forum

However, I'm looking for direction to a newsgroup or site that will
help me get rid of the ads.x10.com/stream/xs_urgent_LND178.htm pop-
under ,or whatever it is called, that started appearing about a week
ago everytime I start Internet Explorer. I've searched Google with no
success. Spybot, ADAware, and ZoneAlarm don't do it.

I am running on IE 6, WindowsXP/pro.

Try a Google Groups search.
http://groups.google.com/groups?q=ads.x10.com&hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&sc
oring=d Using a Host file looks like a good idea.
My Host file has:
127.0.0.1 ads.x10.com
127.0.0.1 ads.x10.net

...Alan

I never thought of HOSTS. Good suggestion. I'm just getting familiar
with XP. In my Windows 98 machine I have these entries.

However, I'm just annoyed that somewhere in my new laptop with XP
there is something that is initiating the request. I did a search on
Google including Groups and found nothing applicable. I wiped all
cookies out with no success. Nothing obvious in the Registry either.

Thanks again Alan.
