Guest cannot use internet connection

Hi all.
Problem I have is that the guest account I have enabled on WIn XP Home Ed
cannot access the internet. When I setup my dialup connection I checked the
box that said 'Allow all users to....whatever'
When a guest logs on the connection tab is visible and in 'Show all
connections' the dialup connection is there, when the guest clicks on Dial
'My ISP', nothing happens.
What do I have to d oto allow guests to access the internet?
Thanks.

This is the designed behavior for a Guest account. This account has almost
no permissions or rights.

A Description of the Guest Account:

There is a work around for this behavior.

Go to: http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm
Line 32, left column, KeepRAS Connections (FUS).

This fix will modify the system to keep a dial up connection active when
switching users, or even when logging
off. Use the fix, then log on to the computer and establish the connection.
Then use Fast User Switching or log off, and log on to the Guest account.

So basically anyone who turns on my machine and logs on as guest will not
have internet access?
That's a really bad idea.

Not really a bad idea when you think about it. Like most account types, the
Guest account is there for a specific purpose. It is pre-configured to be
severly locked down. If you have the Guest account enabled, you should
consider who may have access to the PC. The Guest account should not be
enabled or used for a regular user of the PC who does anything more than run
already installed programs. If the Guest account is enabled, anyone with
physical access can log onto your PC.
