Gee, there has to be a better way.

Wondering if I can reduce the number of rings of fire I need to jump
through....

How would I create a DVD (or maybe a VideoCD ??) to show pictures on my TV
and have them look as sharp and crisp as when I connect my digital camera to
my TV ?

I've created DVDs with those same pictures. using PS3, when saving, there's
really no option to save for a DVD, only Save playback on a computer, then I
go to Settings , so I pick Profile for creating a DVD on NTSC 640x480.

In order to have this on a DVD, I then bring this in MM2, add a soundtrack
and create an AVI file, as it's the only I found for MyDVD to accept it for
a DVD session.

Finally, after some rest, I then use Sonic MyDVD to create a DVD...

The pictures do not even look close to what they look when I connect my
camera to my TV...

Does the collective have any bright ideas ?

Best regards,

DS

Well I tried PapaJohn's profile for DVD with Photo Story 3.

Used MM2 to make an AVI.

Used TMPGEnc to encode.

Used MySonic DVD to burn the DVD.

It looks pretty darn good .

Still a lot of steps... but the results are good.

I'm still chasing a 1-step solution and am also a investigating VCDs, as I
will never use/need 4.7GB of available space of a DVD - CDs are also lots
cheaper too. If the results are similar...

I use Powerproducer (free, came with my LG DVD burner). It burns WMV files
directly as DVD, VCD or SVCD. Roxio 7 will also do this. WINAVI will convert
WMV files in 1 step.
