PS3 Picture quality

After creating a VCD in PS3, playing it on my TV results in poor quality
pictures. Pictures were taken with a 3 mpg camara and when viewed in Digital
Image Suite 2006 for editing look fine. I am using the Sonic plug in to
record to a DVD recorder but am using CD media to record to.
Any idea how to improve the picture quality?

You will usually be disappointed when viewing a VCD on a large screen
TV. It supports only low-resolution display.

If you select a hi-res profile (1024x768 works well for me) and burn
a DVD, you will have the best display that can be produced without
going the HD route.
