Freeware to burn multi CD SVCD video file

I have a 750MB *.avi file that I wanted to burn to CDR as a SVCD disk.

Nero creates an SVCD compilation that is 900+ MB long.

Is there any freeware that will either create 2 SVCD files from the original
to burn with Nero or burn 2 SVCD disks itself?

I am using XP Home SP1.

You can use tmpgenc to convert the .avi into MPg then use it to split
the MPG into 2 pieces and then burn those 2 pieces as as 2 separate SVCDs.

You can use tmpgenc to convert the .avi into MPg then use it to split
the MPG into 2 pieces

Or you use Tmpgenc to make two mpeg2 files of your avi by specifying the
source range under Settings. It's probably quicker and safer.
