burning vcd or svcd using nero from .avi file created in mm2, ???

I created a movie of still pictures in mm2. Converted it to an avi file then
tried to burn it using nero. the movie was about 7 minutes with transitions.
When trying to play it back on a dvd player the only thing that showed up was
the title page with the fist picture. The movie would not run. What am I
doing wrong? I tried it both vcd and svcd, same result. Thanks for any help

Ok, it looks like I figured it out. I was burning at the default speed of
48x. I slowed it down to 16x and it worked great! As a rookie I stumbled onto
the solution, I'm sure this is common knowledge to the vetrans. My first
movie burn, what an adventure!

You should have a burn speed option presented to you by Nero, at the same
time as you have the burn now box to click.
