Error C00000BE When Changing Password

I have Win2K Domain (Mixed mode) with one Win2K Server and one WinNT Server
DCs. Also, I have 50 clients using WinNT WKS OS. When their password
expires, and prompted to change password, they cannot change their password
and have error message as stated on the subject. I've already viewed the MS
KB Article 176978 and tried but still, users aren't able to change password.

Need help with this..

Which value does the RestrictAnonymous registrykey on the server have? It
should be set to 0 or 1 in your case.

Hi Marina,

I've tried setting the Restrict Anonymous to reg key to 1 then after
restart, all my WNT WKS clients cannot log on to the domain. So I've set the
value to 0. What did I do wrong with the instruction?

0 or 1 should be no problem for NT users. Maybe you used the wrong value
(decimal, hexadecimal etc.)? Have a look at article 246261. To which value
was it set originally?

I have check also KB 293127 and found true on my current scenario. Also, the
instruction stated on the KB is already true to my PDC.

What did I do wrong?

Though this KB does not contain the error message you experience it may be
