Error: Archive skips store due to error. Failed to open a source store

Getting this error in Outlook 2000. Archive skips store
due to error. Failed to open a source store

Microsoft's only suggestion is to see hotfix, but can't
access sed hotfix, and a post SP3 SP has not yet been
released. Any ideas on how to solve this? Thanks
