e-mail sent without feedback

I'll be composing an e-mail and once I'm done hit <C-Enter> or click "Send"
and the e-mail will get sent. I have verified this by checking in the "Sent"
folder as well as by receiving OOTO replies as a result.

The problem is that the e-mail window sometimes doesn't get closed and I'm
not notified that the e-mail was sent. I haven't been able to establish
consistent repro steps but I've seen it happen not infrequently.

Does anyone else have this problem / have you figured out a solution?

Thanks

Hi Steve!

Thanks for the response and link. I'm running a vanilla version of Windows
Mail (no plugins) on a fully patched copy of Vista. The only "protection"
software installed is Defender which, as far as I know, doesn't attempt to
scan outgoing e-mail.

I saw Windows Mail on the vista update bit and assumed it was the most
current MS mail client. I've since switched over to Windows Live Mail but
I'm still seeing the same behavior -- I'll move over to the Windows Live
newsgroup and see if they have any ideas.

Thanks for the tip, though. Live Mail fixes a bunch number of small things
that had been annoying me in with Mail.
