Sending E-mail Problems

My e-mail was working fine then logged onto an unsecure wifi and get this
message when trying to send.

The message could not be sent. The authentication setting might not be
correct for your outgoing e-mail [SMTP] server. For help solving this
problem, go to Help, search for "Troubleshoot Windows Mail", and read the
"I'm having problems sending e-mail" section. If you need help determining
the proper server settings, please contact your e-mail service provider.

The rejected e-mail address was '(e-mail address removed)'. Subject
'Morning Coffee', Account: 'pop-server.austin.rr.com (1)', Server:
'smtp-server.austin.rr.com', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '553
Authentication is required to send mail as <[email protected]>',
Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 553, Error Number: 0x800CCC78

I have tried setting new setting and nothing is working any Ideas.

Make sure you have send authentication enabled.
Go to Tools, Accounts, select that account, Properties, Servers.
The box for "My server requires authentication" must be checked.

i noticed you're using port 25. try using 465 instead. learned that from gary.

That only works for email providers that use port 465... Roadrunner doesn't.

Roadrunner is a cable service, and you have to be connected to their network
in order to send thru their server.
Is the wifi connection yours, at home or work?
