I recently bought a new computer. I was trying to e-mail the old documents
and files that I had saved on a disc as a attachment to my new e-mail. I
somehow totally forgot about this. After a couple of days as i am trying to
'send and receive' on my e-mail. It doesn't go through. I have deleted my
sent items and I am trying to delete this particular outgoing e-mail from my
'outbox' but it won't let me do this. either it gives me an error message or
my 'windows mail' freezes. I will appreciate your help. This is the error
message that I receive.

The message could not be sent. The authentication setting might not be
correct for your outgoing e-mail [SMTP] server. For help solving this
problem, go to Help, search for "Troubleshoot Windows Mail", and read the
"I'm having problems sending e-mail" section. If you need help determining
the proper server settings, please contact your e-mail service provider.

Have you ever been able to send from your (e-mail address removed) account in Windows
Mail?

Were you connected to the internet via shaw.ca when you attempted to send
the message in question?

Do you reside in the Calgary area?
...I am trying to delete this particular outgoing e-mail from my
'outbox' but it won't let me do this.

See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/941090 (keep that link handy, you may
need it again....and again)
