my point is Yes we are not "important" enought for google to read our mail
but the fact is they do save all of your emails...private or not....in a
giant database and after a certain period of time your rights of privacy
on
those expire. Just think people should be aware when big brother is
watching

HEY your FREAKING ME OUT!! I am not going to use gmail any more. thats too
much.

What right do they have to keep private data......thats outrageous.

It would be interesting to find out what would happen if you used GMail to
have a conversation with someone, say, planning a terrorist attack. I
wonder
if the FBI would be at your door the next day?

Course, had the Americans not voted in George WMD Bush the Terrorist,
perhaps Google couldn't get away with this shit. Wait until the Patriot
Act
II comes to a theater near you if you're worried about Big Brother.

Well if the technology exists I'm absolutely 100% sure that it will be used.
In the same way it will be used in Spain Alias, do you think the Spanish
secret services don't listen to who they want? AFter what happened in spain
to your country just not so long ago? It is no different.

They have any right you agree to when you read their privacy policy and
decided that it was OK for them to do it. Do you really think that other
on-line resources are not doing the same?

If you check out the Windows XP section of www.computing.net alot of people
offer gmail invites there. Be wary tho, google archives every email you
send/recieve.

Makes me wonder once it goes 100% public whether it will get a thumbs up
or thumbs down from the "tech community".

I notice you didn't say "Google doesn't" archive mail. Maybe that is some
CIA thingy, it is certainly possible. I don't want anybody know I about my
viagra orders or my penis enlargment tablets. Its private

I can see it now. You order a bottle of self enhancment pills and now
every time you check your mail you'll see adds for pills that do even a
better job. That's google's point tho eh?
