An eight year old can install Ubuntu without problems. You can't. That's
not only sad, it's pathetic and I'd hate to be the company that hires you
as a tech.

HAHAHAHA!!!!

You just called every single person who's had such problems with Ubuntu
PATHETIC!

You really know how to shove your foot down your mouth.

You crack me up!

Also to verify the bug I took the CD home and tried to install it on my
wife's x86 only laptop and the install attempted to start. So I have the
right x86 ISO. But it still will not install on my old Pentium. The rest
of my test machines are x86/x64.

Why would an x86 distro even contain an error message telling you to get the
x86 version? Bug!!!

It's ok alias, all OS' have bugs. You'll live through this. I promise.

You're nothing but an angry, frustrated, hate filled troll. These are the
common traits that define you and your fellow linux trolls. You don't
actually believe that anyone believes you're here to help someone find a
viable alternative to Vista do you?
Then again, that's probably a rationalization you must use to believe what
you believe.
Fooling one's self is the easiest fool of all.

Another "provable" reason he's a troll; he'll attack anyone saying they have
a problem with linux and call them a liar without any proof.

So he's here to TELL people to switch to linux and not actually get them up
and running with linux. I suspect the later is WAY TOO MUCH work for him to
invest his time.

LOL! You just can't do it on *any* computer can you? Find an eight year
old to help you.

That's either another lie or another example of how you can't read. I
already told you the installation started on the laptop. I only have one
machine with the problem. Keep thinking about it, you'll eventually get it.

To get Ubuntu up and running.

1. Go into BIOS

2. Change boot order to CDROM to boot first.

3. Insert Ubuntu CD

4. Reboot

5. Click on Install on the Live CD desktop icon.

6. Follow VERY simple instructions.

7. Ubuntu loads.

8. Balloon appears with updates. Click on the little orange star.

9. Wait while it updates.

10. Click on Applications > Add/Remove and choose the apps you want.

11. Open Fire Fox and go to automatix.com and download the appropriate
version for the Ubuntu you've installed.

12. Double click on the Automatix icon. It will install.

13. More updates, get them.

14. Applications > System Tools > Automatix2

15. Choose the apps you want to install.

DONE.

Too difficult for you, Justin? If so, find an eight year old to help you.

It's called the awful truth and everyone here knows you and your
comrades are nothing but angry, frustrated, hate filled trolls.
But you're all in total denial (it's not only a river in Egypt you know)
and can't/won't accept that fact.
All this stupid emotion from you guys and it's only software.
Get a freaking life!

Sigh, even more insults. I never had any use for you other than allowing
you to show everyone what a mean-spirited person you are.

Gonna belch now?

Well, I can't speak for Alias, but if it were me, one reason I'd be here
is because it's fun to watch you bunch your undies over it! Is this why
you lose control of your bodily noises?

That's what makes you completely ignorant. Do you expect us to believe that
Ubuntu has EVERY SINGLE DRIVER for EVERY SINGLE PIECE OF HARDWARE?

You are absurd, in general.

When, and if, you ever discover how to install Ubuntu, maybe, just
maybe, you'll find out. I have yet to find a computer that's had
hardware problems with Ubuntu.

Your memory sucks as well. I've had 6.x installed in the past with major
driver problems. I have server level linux distros installed with no
problems.

So what's your linux excuse now? Seems all you have is that anyone with
linux problems is not smarter then an 8 year old.

Sigh, yet another insult.

And saying people are dumber then a 8 year old isn't? Calling people
pathetic? Why is it you can insult people left and right but when you are
insulted you act like a little b!itch about it?

You've installed Ubuntu? Sure. I just installed Feisty Fawn 7.04 and
everything works. It took me all of a little less than two hours to
install the OS and all the programs I wanted. Video at 1280x1024 on an
old CRT LG Flatron monitor. Sound, mouse, keyboard all work great.

It's a tough thing when you're doing a review of a distribution that you want to like but end
up having to pan it. The latest version of Ubuntu Linux is called Feisty Fawn, and about all I
can see it being good for is venison. We found it to be a real stinker in some ways, despite
past versions of Ubuntu having been fairly good.

If you saw a 600 pound naked guy in the middle of street, would you take a
second look? You wouldn't want to but you just wouldn't be able to help
yourself :) alias is a 600 pound naked guy. I enjoy watching him get run
over in the street.... by his own car no less :)
