Corrupted files?

I have a computer that is running Win98SE and Internet Explorer SP1. When
you right click on a link and select "Open in New Window" the frame opens up
but the view never appears. The view appears to be totally transparant
(i.e. it never draws anything within the client area. I reinstalled Win98SE
and IE6SP1 but nothing worked. Any suggestions?

Especially in the case of Win98, replacing the oleaut32.dll file may be the
fix.
