Can't delete file message

J

Joe

I have a few files in my Temporary Internet Files that
never got cleaned up by using the Internet Explorer
Deltete Temporary Files process. These files appear in
my Windows explorer but when I try to delete I always get
message "Cannot delete file. Cannot read from the source
file or disk".

Has anyone seen this before? thanks for help.

Hello Joe,

Two things for you to try:

1. Run chkdsk
2. Use IE to move your internet cache to another location

I suggest chkdsk because it could be a problem in the Master File Table
(MFT) and I suggest moving the internet cache because you might have
installed a 3rd party program that is doing something to the cache.
