Cannot start IIS services

I cannot start The Default FTP site, Default Web site &
Default SMTP virtual server under IIS (ver 5.0) using W2k.
The Computer Manager is not responding. The PSW i running
but I do not get the icon in the tray.
The Event Viewer showes different errors;
The FTP Publishing Service service hung on starting.
The Simple Mail Transport Protocol (SMTP) service hung on
starting.
The World Wide Web Publishing Service service hung on
starting.
The FTP Publishing Service service terminated with the
following error:
Not enough resources are available to complete this
operation.
The Simple Mail Transport Protocol (SMTP) service
terminated with the following error:
Not enough resources are available to complete this
operation.

This is NOT a DNS question. But let's see what's up here.

So what Event log errors are you getting? Can you post the specific Event ID
#'s please.

Event ID is 7023. Sorry in all wrong doing. It's the first
time. I could noy find any place reffering to IIS problems

There are a whole set of IIS groups.
