Cannot start control panel[Explorer.exe Has Generated Errors and Will Be Closed]

When I try to open the control panel i get the following
error message:

"Explorer.exe Has Generated Errors and Will Be Closed
by Windows"

Any idea what is wrong?

ot Internet Explorer
