Cannot send messages

C

confused

I can receive messages fine, and I can usually send messages with no problems
at all, however about once a day I receive the following message, and cannot
send emails anymore:

The connection to the server has failed. Subject '', Account:
'pop.aphroditescloset.ca', Server: 'smtp.aphroditescloset.ca', Protocol:
SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10061, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

Today for example, it worked fine all morning, then I shut down my computer,
and upon starting it back up a few hours later, I can no longer send emails,
but I can still receive.

Anybody have any ideas to why this might be happening?? Any help would be
great!

Thanks

Sarah

Neither can I. I have been using my bellsouth.net address and have the same
problem. Was able to configure it for gmail but not for the main account.

This is the error I'm getting:
The connection to the server has failed. Subject 'test message.', Account:
'bellsouth', Server: 'mail.bellsouth.net', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25,
Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10061, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

Aphroditescloset.ca is not your ISP. As such, your home ISP will block
your use of any port 25 SMTP server other than their own.
For an explanation of this policy, see
http://www.postcastserver.com/help/Port_25_Blocking.aspx

To send from home, you will have to substitute your home ISP's
SMTP server. If you need help with that, let us know who your
home ISP is.

Freddiemd, were you sending from home when that error occurred,
or were you on a laptop away from home?

Also, I understand the Bellsouth users are being migrated to the AT&T/Yahoo
servers. Have they advised you about that?
