logged into my Windows Mail account as usual but for some reason a pop-up
appeared requesting my username and password.
Entered these successfully but didn't receive any emails and haven't for the
last couple of days now after sending myself messages using another web-based
account.
I can send messages fine via my Windows Mail, Tiscali account and can even
send myself messages which appear in the 'sent' folder OK.
When I click on 'send/receive' the usual box appears briefly indicating
'connecting to pop.tiscali.co.uk', 'autorising', 'checking for messeges on
pop.tiscali.co.uk' then 'disconnecting' - no errors indicated.
Outgoing mail is smtp.tiscali.co.uk.
I've checked that the outoing and incoming email addresses are still
identical which they are, but seeing as I never went into the properties in
the first place to change anthing before this problem started I didn't really
expect anything to need altering there anyway.
A call to Tiscali Help resulted in me doing all the checks I'd already done,
with the advisor finally saying that they couldn't suggest anything further.
