Blank screen after logging on to Win2000 Server

Hi.

I installed Service pack 4 today via windows update. All seemed to be
running ok for a couple of hours after the install. Then when I tried to
log on to the server, the task bar flashed, then went and I was left with a
blank desktop.
I can still get ctrl+alt+del to bring up the task manager.

Opening the even viewer (using run from task manager) I can see an event
saying that widows detected shdocvw.dll had changed and was replacing the
bad file (v 6.0.2800.1606) with the system version (v 5.0.3700.668)

I have renamed shdocvw.dll to shdocvw.old, rebooted, but its still not
working.

Any ideas?
