Blank desktop - Explorer.exe not starting

Hi,

Have a simliar problem to the ones being mentioned, blank desktop -
not startbar, cnnot start explorer.exe. tried the MS fix 9rename the
shdocvw.dll but am still in same situation. Started after installing
a bluetooth device. Any ideas? And is there a way i can access the
control panel from the task manager to remove a programme that might
be the cause of my problem.

Any help is gretly appreciated.

win2k - sp4
virus def up to date as of 4th feb and no virus found
all ms recommended updates installed
piii 733 + 512 ram
