The percentage was a quick on the spot assessment of what I've seen and

I use linux server for application servers/appliances. I am an avid
linux desktop hater. Every time I try to give linux desktop an honest
go I become greatly disappointed in it. If fails me every time.

Still haven't found an eight year old to help you, eh? "It" doesn't
fail. You do.

Thanks to all of the help on this list, which rocks by the way, I was able to
get my new computer installation of Vista authenticated last night. Like
people said, the authentification guy just asked a few questions - I answered
- and he gave me a new key. No muss no fuss.

Pray for clear vision.

It is very clear you are just another clueless fanboy. Too stupid to
understand anything technical, too dumb to ask for help for somebody
to explain things to you, too blinded by MS bullshit. In other words,
a fairly typical poster in this newsgroup.

Being nice about accusing you of being a thief doesn't make it right.

It didn't bother Jim too much. Why should it bother you. You just have a
very low tolerance for being challenged - about anything.

For some reason, being accused of doing something illegal until I prove
otherwise bothers me. The fact that it doesn't bother you means you
would have been happy in Stalin's Russia.

Dude! It was *****JIM***** that was being challenged ---------- NOT YOU!

Jim didn't mind too much - why should you mind for him. You are just a busy
body!

I fail to understand why people don't mind being accused of being a
pirate until they prove otherwise. Please explain why this doesn't
bother you. Jim has nothing to do with it. He is just an example.

I guess MS, Dell and Novell made their little deal for charitable reasons,
right?

Deal? What are you talking about? Do you have any idea what we're talking
about?
Linux will spread by word of mouth, no stinking and lying marketing
campaigns necessary.

More alias propaganda nonsense.
You won't see any "sales", Internet or otherwise, because Linux is free.

You are lost as usual.

Gosh, and I thought they were in business to make good computers.

You thought wrong. That's a goal not a reason to be in business.
Course, we all know they don't make good computers and load them up with

Your opinion which is not shared by the majority.
trial crap and, like MS, Dell, et al, care nothing about their paying
customers.

Blah blah blah...

7.x ubuntu has absolutely nothing to do with my comment. As usual you are
lost.

No, the way Ubuntu is being marketed is through word of mouth. Not
nonsense and not propaganda.
You are lost as usual.

Huh? Linux IS free so who's lost?

alias is not capable of understanding this. He has it stuck in his head
that THIEF is being shouted and he'll never kill that notion in his tiny
little head.

By his theory alone, having to input a serial number would be the software
company calling him a thief. Or the use of a dongle is there way of not
trusting him.

He's just an idiot. No more, no less.

Another idiot who doesn't mind being accused of piracy until he proves
otherwise.

If you say so, Frank. I will have to concede to the innate knowledge you
possess and your well presented argument. Actually, no one posting here
even needs to have any independent thoughts, since you can just tell
everyone what to know and how to know it. Well done.
