2 hours?! Did the snow cause an accident or did people just forget how to drive?

We had a tiny bit of snow last night, but not enough to settle today.

We had a proper hammering, the whole town ground to a halt. Traffic, accidents and idiot drivers.

Google maps was just a mess of dark red lines.

Over here we got about a foot of snow on Sunday. Since Monday is a holiday here (Martin Luther King Day), there wasn't much impact and all was cleaned up by Tuesday.

yup, had snow yesterday afternoon ... the rain turned to snow, then it got colder and froze. The Gritters are out this afternoon.

I had to walk in the road to go to the shops this afternoon as the pavements are still covered in ice.

We had a bit of snow last night which lingered through some of today, but not much really. A two hour commute that should have been 10 minutes sounds like a nightmare!! Hope it has been better today!

No snow at all here but we did have a very heavy frost this morning. No traffic problems though. :)

We went to Switzerland a few years back; while we were there it was -15 deg C, it was so cold that I had to keep warming up the battery in my camera to get it to work. When we got back to the UK, however, it felt colder than it had been in Switzerland but it was actually much warmer (about 2-3 deg C IIRC). I think the difference was that in Switzerland it was really cold but really dry, whereas here in the UK it's so humid and damp that the cold really permeates everything.

Anyhoo that's my excuse for why I'm constantly complaining about how cold I am  :p

The Met Office has issued a Yellow Warning of snow for Tuesday night - Wednesday morning. Looks like it might be worse than last week.....

Oh well, at least its going to be overnight and not while I'm actually at work!

  • Precipitation during the previous hour 0.0 mm (13:00)

lol, we had bugger all! It snowed for about an hour but didn't lay at all. All the news and weather forecasts said it was going to be really bad.

Apparently its been rescheduled for Thursday. :fool:

Also for a split second I thought that second pic was a hot tub!

Yep, gotta watch out for that yellow snow:D

Ok, it's an old one I know...

No snow here in SE Londinium but a thick frost on me patio this morning which almost caused me to take a tumble.

Chilly chilly it's evening time :)
