any tool can tell me if I visited a website before?

Is there a tool that enables me to detect if a website I am visiting, I
visited before? Basically, if I visit the site, then visit the same site a
second time, the tool tells me.

Thank you.

The only one that I know of is the Remember Tool. Maybe someone knows of one but I do not

This stretches the meaning of "tells me", but a search in the history
will "tell you" if you've visited the site recently. You can change the
meaning of "recently" in Internet Options; up to 999 days.
Of course, this is not retrospective. I can't suddenly extend the
history to see if I visited the site a couple of years ago. I might need
a bigger disk to store all this history as well.

Why not? Everything that is done can be undone. Information does not go
away. Everything remains stored, one way or another, at one location or
another.

Nonsense! There are many actions that, once done, cannot practically be
undone. Try un-burning food left too long on the stove. Information does
go away if it's deleted and overwritten. More significantly, much
potential information is never stored to begin with. Even where data is
stored, you may not have effective access to it.

Try to wreck a car, with the right technology, the right information, it can
be repaired. Try to wreck a meal, also with the right technology, the right
information, it can be repaired The entire universe, can be brought back,
as it was once, before the big bang. It may be, that the universe will go
back to it's original state. When you pull your computer's plug, the
information is not lost. It is radiated, and it keeps radiating, until
maybe infinity. Every word you say, remain in space, until maybe infinity.
The universe records everything, and it never omits anything.

That sounds silly; what are you doing that IE and most any browsers "visited
color" isn't good enough? Just curious.

I was not aware that reset-time can be adjusted by the user. My reset was
set at 5 days. I wanted to visit sites, and make sure not to visit them
again. Also, when a site is accessed through an image, or through a button,
or through a java text, the change color indicator does not work.
