My os is Windows Vista Home Preminum . My computer is a Compaq Presario. My Anti Versus Software is Norton. My Anti spyware is Microsoft Defender. My computer has me listed as an administrator, but I do not have any administrative privileges. I cannot even change the time on the clock. I am completely locked out. I cannot backup my files, save, printing is controlled. Cannot do a restore. I have files that I do not want to lose (was able to save before this happened. Also, this message: "Microsoft Feeds Synchronization has stopped working" keeps appearing.

Thanks

Hiya, it sounds like it could possible be due to the Conficker virus, this has ahabit of locking down a lot of admin features. I would probably recommend downloading the conficker removel tool from symantec on another pc, burning it to cd then running it on this one. If your AV has been out of date at all recently it could still have got in. Probably worth a try in my opinion. Cheers.

No Administrative Privileges

Thanks Mike.

I went to the Start, Clicked on Control Panel, User Accounts, but there was no Advanced Options or Users for this Computer available for me to click on as the help menu had suggested. Also, I found Control Panel/User Accounts and Family Safety/User Accounts.

I cannot control printing either.

This may or maynot make it to PCreview as I saw redirecting popup.

It worth a try.

Thanks.
