Saving Emails in Webmail

Can anyone tell me how to fix my problemwith saving emails in webmail, my
problem is when I want to save an email I get a dialogue box to download the
email but it has it as a "message.dat" file type is "application" and when I
do save it I cannot open it , it is "corrupted". This applies to any type of
emails, pictures, html, doc. or what ever it is. I have Vista Home Preminum.

Print the message instead.

If you need or want to have a copy of the message on your computer, you'll
have to access the account in a Mail Client (e.g., Windows Mail; Outlook;
Thunderbird; Windows Live Mail) and download the message(s) into the
application.
