ZoomBrowser Software

The ZoomBrowser software provided with my Canon Powershot A80 (ver 4.5.1) does not stay on the desktop after loading but immediately closes down. It will go to the taskbar if set in properties to load "minimised" but as soon as it is maximised it will do so and immediately close down. Strangely if the camera is connected, the Download Image page appears and is useable but thereafer the software closes down automatically.

I have installed it on 2 other computers, 1 running Windows 98 and a laptop running Windows XP and it loads and performs normally in both cases.

Any ideas of where to look for the Gremlin?

I would simply deinstall ZB and reinstall it from the original media.

You might also run Disk Cleanup to clean up temp and temp internet
files. The cache might be interfering with jpg display as it does when
XP fails to save jpg when the cache is full.
