zoom keeps going up and up

When typing in word, works or note pad, the zoom setting (entered as 100)
suddently starts increasing by itself - often reaching 500

When I reset it, it only lasts for a couple of seconds, then starts
increasing again.

I have a logitec mouse, but its never done it before, but, I recently
installed wi fi broadband, which I suspect is causing the problem.

Do I have to go back to my old mouse on a wire?

Any ideas anyone ?
 
I've seen this happen once, triggered by switching between screen and
projector. Gorgeous and disconcerting effect that seemed to affect every
application that is capable of zooming.

Switching off and re-starting fixed it for us.
