ZipCD 650 and XP

I sold my old ZipCD 650 USB drive to a friend - but he seems to need to get some "Hotburn" software (which I never got with the original drive as I had used it with Windows 2000 Pro only).

Any ideas as to an XP solution - without needing to buy the hotburn add-on software?

Abandon ZIP drives, they are obsolete. Buy an external hard
drive, or a flash drive. You can get a flash card reader
and use CF cards or the common thumb drives. Faster, more
capacity and less money.

He's talking about a cd burner. Apparently an older one. The 650 was the
size of cd disks then. I never used it but I think hotburn is just burner
software. It isn't free but you can find several free program if you search.
Maybe cdburnerxp,
http://www.cdburnerxp.se/download.php
would work for your friend.

It's just an ordinary USB CDRW, any burning software will be just fine.
