Zip Drive

Here is the problem.

Unless the person has Admin rights they can't eject the
zip disk on a Windows XP machine.

Some things to know:

1. The zip drive is "shared" and another computer has a
drive mapped to it.

2. This problem occurs even when there are no open files
on the "client" machine.

That is a local security policy. Follow this procedure to modify:

Control Panel->Admin Tools->Local Security Policy

Inside this application, go to Local Policies->Security Options

About the 10th item down the list is "Devices: Allowed to format and eject
removable media Administrators"

You can change it here.
