System: Access 2003 running on Windows XP SP3, Server 2003 domain

When one user of mine starts Access and logs into it, he gets the message
"You do not have exclusive access to the database at this time." He must
click a button on that message box 8 times to get by the same message
appearing 8 times. He is logging in the same way as everyone else.

He should no be entering any design mode. This happens all the time,
especially when others are on that same database.

Why is this happening and how do I stop it.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks. We've never experienced any problems with our databases not being
split like that, but I'll consider it for the future. Any that were split
(before my time) had links to the front end placed on the users' desktops.
The front and back ends were both on the network share.

We also do not have the Adobe toolbar, but the user in question does have
another one, unique to him. I'll try removing that and see.

Thanks again.
