User getting message "You do not have exclusive access..."

Hi,
I have a user getting a popup when starting access application (mde front
end). He/she is getting a popup after logging into the application saying
"You do not have exclusive access...". Their are two users. One of them have
this problem the other does not. I have checked all permission settings of
their shared drive where the application files including the data resides.
After clicking "OK" to the error message 31 times it goes away and everything
seems ok...?
Very strange. Any Help to avoid my client having to click "OK" 31 times
would be most appreciated.

Thanks for your response.
Both users have the Adobe Writer installed but only one of them get this
problem. Very strange.
The message goes away if I give the problem user Full Permissions (security).
