I must comeback on the following phrase on the microsoft
antispyware site.

Important Notes

English only:
The current beta is intended only for English language
versions of the Microsoft Windows operating system. It
should not be deployed on non-English versions.

On the dutch site of microsoft their is nothing mentioned
about deployment on an english XP version only.
See by yourself if you understand the Dutch Language.

However i deinstalled ms anti spyware today and i think
that i will not use it anymore. The Giant antispyware
was an almost finished product till MS got it in their
hands. How long will it take before the ONE CARE option
will come from the ground. Five years or so if i see how
long the beta MAS is running. Will it then first come
available for English XP versions only. If the OS was
secure then we did not need all these MS dipers

initiating this thread, and this one, were not visible via my NNTP
newsreader until tonight.

I'm not sure what the right thing for the program management to do is--but
I'll leave that to them--I'll pass your link on.

In passing your message on, I tested the link, and if I have constructed it
correctly, it is now dead.


I tried stepping back up the site a bit and navigating, but I haven't enough
Dutch to manage very well. I did get here:

and find your original link, but it still 404's.

So--I've passed this on, but it may be already corrected.

Hi Bill,

Indeed the Dutch microsoft antispyware site is at the
moment not reachable anymore. I think they are changing
that web pages.
Maybe other MS antispyware beta language sites must be
revised so that it comes clear for customers to use only
MS antispyware beta on English XP and win2k versions only.

Keep an eye on it occasionally, if you think of it--I'll be interested to
