Yamaha AC-XG Audio Device

I keep getting the message...
The software for this device has been blocked from
starting because it is known to have problems with
Windows. Contact the hardware vendor for a new driver.
(Code 48)

Ive tried going to yamaha.com and installing dsxgxp.exe
which is supposed to install the latest driver. But I
still get an exclamation mark in device manager.
Anyone had a similar problem on a Toshiba Satallite Pro?

Try the drivers from Toshiba.

Thanks, I thought of that as I slept on it last night (not
the laptop). It was in fact that the Service Pack 1 for XP
knocked out the Sound Driver for some reason the
downloaded driver from Toshiba did the trick.
Stupid off me not to think of it.

The Driver Rollback feature works nicely as well - as I found out while I
was waiting at an airport with no internet access a few months ago!
