Disabled Device

I received the following message after installing critical
upgrades: Yamaha-AC-XG WDM Audio Device will cause Windows
to become unstable; therefor the devices or application is
DISABLED.

QUESTION: Can I remove this device, or is there a way to
resolve this problem?

Your sound card (Yamaha-AC-XG) is having problems with your Windows. Try
uninstalling it from Device Manager and reboot. Windows should re-detect it
and correct the problem.

You should also try to see if the sound card drivers have been updated. You
should look on the manufacturer's web site (www.yamaha.com ????)

Same error message here and now my audio doesn't work. I
tried downloading the generic driver from the Yamaha site
and that didn't work. There were no other compatible
drivers available. Hope somebody has a fix for this!

Use the Driver Rollback feature.

Or if it's a Toshiba notebook we're referring to, use the driver from
Toshiba's website.
