XPe Won't Boot on VPC 2004

Hi,

I have created a XP Embedded Image. It has been copied over to the root
of Z:/ drive.

I have created a Virtual PC 2004 virtual machine (VM) and a virtual HD
with in the root of Z:/.

When I boot into the VM, all I get is "Reboot and Select Proper Boot
Device".

The question is exactly how do I boot into this embedded image.

I have spent days playing around with ARC settings, enabling active
partitions etc, etc.

Thanks.

David.

Hi,

I think I'm getting to the bottom of it.

I have created a VM, with a VHD on the root of Z:/.
I have installed XP Pro on this VM & the VHD File (test.vhd) is now 1.3
Megs.

All I need to do now is to somehow convet the XPe image files into a
sigle .vhd
then add it as a second VHD, (or overwrite test.vhd).

Any ideas..?

Regards.

David.
