Win PE ...USB ????

I have been using the Win PE boot from XPe CD1 (SP2) with VPC virtual
machines to create XPe images. No that I want to do same on some embedded
devices I want to boot via Win PE on the target to run TAP etc.

I could use a physical CD but I'd like to explore some alternatives:

(a) Is it possible to put the Win PE from CD onto a USB memory stick in a
bootable manner. Ihave been able to craete DOS and NTFS bootable memory
sticks for these embeded devices, as well as a virtual floppy.

(b) As another alternative, how would I make a Harddrive boot via Win PE to
run TAP etc.

(c) Of course I could simply boot to DOS on these devices and run TA. If I
was to build the XPe image from this, run that and then run TAP and do a
second image would this achieve much?

(d) Is there any way of mounting an ISO image at boot time in any manner?

Thx

With WinPE 2005 you can. You need WinPE OPK and Windows Server 2003 SP1 OPK
to develop custom WinPE image. If you have active OEM CLA you can request
OPKs from local Microsoft Autorized Embedded Distributor.

Yes it works. Do not forget to add to the image PnP (User Mode) and Software
Plag and Play Device Enumration components.
