Windows PE on the XPe boot discs

I've recently download the files for evaluation copy of Windows Xp Embedded and explicitly extracted the cab files to build a couple of directories Disk 1 and Disk 2.

Within Disk 1 directory there is a XPE directory containing six files : SDI.CAT, SDI.INF, SDI.SYS, SDILOADER.EXE, SDIMGR.WSF and TAP.EXE.

I want to run TAP.EXE on an embedded PC as the first step towards building and XPe image and so planned to boot from a Windows PE disc to do so.

I've copied the files listed to a CD but it doesn't seem to boot - what am I missing?

Do I have the right files?

Am I missing a vital step?
