XPE + USB

Richard

I have an image that is asking for the USBSERV.SYS driver. I can manually
point it to the file on a drive where I manually added it and it installs
and works fine.

I rather add it to my image but I haven't been able to find which componet
has it. I already have most of the core USB2.0 components, plus some other
HID related.

USBServ.sys is to support a generic USB to RS232 adapter.

It's been a while since I had to use XPE so I can't seem to remember how to
search for files in components.

Any help would be appreciated.

I assume you mean USBser.sys?

That is included with all the USB modems, such as:
3Com OfficeConnect 56K Modem USB
Lucent 56k Modem USB
Modem Blaster USB DE5670
etc.

If it is the only file you want, what about adding it as a "extra file"?

Hello Mike, Long Time.....
I'll most likely end up adding it as an extra file, but what really bugged
me, is I thought at one time I could search thru components for a specific
file and I can't remember how. I also kind of thought such a generic driver
like that would be in the USB component.

Yeah, thing are pretty quiet around here now days, :)

Use a filter to display all components containing a particular file. The
button is to the right of the drop-down with the text "All Components".

I know what you mean about forgetting things. I do so little XPe work that
the cobwebs grow over the memories.
