XPE Splash Screen

Hi Slobodan and all,

we had discussion a few weeks back about modify/suppress/show of the Boot
Splash Screen, and I told everyone that I was in discussion with MS on it.

That's the thread.

Well after much heated debate with MS over it, the official response
remains" You cannot modify the existing one, or replace it with something
else. You can show the original one, or you can suppress it to black screen"
that's it. my guys took it all the way up the food chain over there, and
that's what they brought back to me.

That was basically the discussion we had prior but I was still working on
MS, and promised to let everyone know. So now you know. They have hinted
that it might be added to CLA or ALP later but for now that's where it
stands. I would not hold my breath on it, but one can always hope :)

Take care...

So basically, since a big stink was made out of this, we will probably be
out of luck showing a picture like the thread outlines when future versions
come out.

Hi Richard,

There are three possibilities:
1. They will let us change logo.
2. They will remove this option.
3. They have no idea what option JC talked about when he mentioned splash screen.

Regards,
Slobodan

Hopefully Options 1 or 3.

While on topic have you seen splash logo for SP2 based os-es?
MS removed strings like "Embedded" or "Professional".

Now we can't even differentiate between Embedded and non Embedded logos :-(
I wonder why they did that.

well, it would be nice if they had no idea, but I think we beat that one to
death in the discussions. They know exactly what I am talking about. :-(
