We have wired the power button to the computer such that when you
press and hold the button for 4-5 seconds, the computer power will
turn off, I believe it is thru the ACPI function in the motherboard
BIOS.
We also have device drivers to monitor the switch and I was going to
write a service to monitor the switch, and call "xpepm -shutdown" when
it is pressed,
but I was wondering if XP power management can detect this switch and
lets the computer turn off (like a laptop). Or let me define the
behavior when it is powered. Since the button is wired to the right
pin.
