XPe power management Q

Hi All

I have a board that only works with Standard PC power config and not
ACPI, so whenever I press teh power button it will hard shut down and
completely turn off. I was wondering is there a way to make the power
button do a soft shutdown as if it had ACPI power button component?

Does it behave the way you want when running XP Pro?

If it doesn't, it may be possible to connect the power switch to the printer
or com port (if not otherwise being used) and have a small program
monitor it and call XPePM.exe
