XP2-System Restore Points

The only restore point available is Jan 17,2005. The calendar will not go
back past Jan. Does the end of the year always delete restore points? If I
set my computer date back to a date in December will they be available or am
I going to open a can of worms with a date setback?

Restore points are deleted under two conditions. When you decide to
delete them or your harddrive (space allotted) is full and then the oldest are
deleted to make room for new ones. How much space do you have allotted?
It should be set to MAX (12% of drive) under Restore Settings. End of
calendar
year does not affect your Restore settings. Also, check how much room you
have left on your harddrive, you may have insufficient room.

Hi

There is also other condition, if not covered, by the other two. All SR
checkpoints are deleted after 90 days - no matter what - unless amended via
the Registry.
