XP won't play only StartUp and ShutDown sounds

Hi everybody,

Here is my problem : I just realized that XP hasn't played my StartUp and
ShutDown sounds for a few days. Except these 2 sounds, all other sounds are
played (minimize, maximize, user change and so on...). When I go to Control
Panel / Sound Properties, I do have a sound to be played for XP startup and
another one for XP shut down. I can even test them at this place, and they
are played without any problem.

Has anybody ever encountered such a bug ? I've got no idea where it can come
from.

Here is the solution, if someone has one day the same problem :

Open registry with REGEDIT, and in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control
Panel\Sound\Beep put Yes instead of No.
